KOUDOURAT OBJECTIVES

Purpose :

The Lebanese Youth are suffering from a decrease in job opportunities in Lebanon while the government sits silent facing the reality. Officials merely bring the issue of unemployment every once in a while but have never set comprehensive work plans, never defined execution programs, nor taken the initiative to at least issue detailed statistics and figures on the reality of employment and labor in Lebanon or on the unemployment rates among the productive class.
This bitter reality draining Lebanese capacities and leading to an increased and unrestricted emigration has led several business and educated people to meet regularly. These individuals have agreed not to ponder in the darkness of this reality, but to step into the light and change. Hence, came the first step … The establishing of “Koudourat”.

Objectives :

1. Creating job opportunities to decrease the emigration of young Lebanese.
   
2. Providing suitable jobs in Lebanon.
   
3. Promoting educational and professional development.
   
4. Encouraging investment

Methods and Means:

• Issuing regional studies on the status quo of unemployment.
  
• Organizing specialized conferences in the field of employment, issuing recommendations, and ensuring their implementation.
  
• Classifying professions according to international standards.
  
• Holding training sessions on artisanship.
  
• Reinforcing the role of technical and vocational education.
  
• Working on developing new specializations that meet the demands of the labor market.
  
• Communicating with the concerned government agencies, notably the National Employment Office.
  
• Creating partnerships with international associations and specialized organizations.
  
• Working on providing the funding necessary to reinforce the production cycle in the fields of industry, agriculture, tourism, trade, and so on.
  
• Working on granting the association the character of consultant to syndicates and international trade unions.
  
• Organizing training and rehabilitation sessions to workers and employees in the aim of increasing their technical skills and introducing them to the modern methods of management, production management, and time management.
  
• Working with the Parliamentary Commission for Modernizing Laws in order to issue laws that respond to the developments in the local, regional, and international labor markets.
  
• Working on the “unemployment indemnities” law.
